And Then A Camera Came Along

So I happened to be state-side during Black Friday and, in the afternoon when the rush had ended, my mom and I decided to run out and buy a few things. Just out of curiosity, I asked her to swing by Best Buy. I’ve been wanting to take up photography for a long time, and at the only point in which I ever had access to a nice camera, I wasn’t ever able to use it.

We wandered over to the camera aisle, and I meticulously read all the little tags, did a cost/benefits analysis, trying to decide which (super amazing discount) was the best deal.

I ended up settling on the Canon Rebel T5i which came with 2 lenses, and spent the following few days scouring photography blogs, tutorials, youtube tips, etc. looking to learn how to master this beast. I can’t say I’ve mastered it. Not by a long shot. (Pun totally intended).

I can say that I get better every day, and I’m excited with how much I learn and grow every time I use it. It’s refreshing to have something to study again. 🙂 And it drags me out of the house and back into the world.
